摘要
yTowards the goal of realizing the commitment to be carbon neutral of the economy by 2050, Vietnam's energy sector needs to perform two important tasks: ensuring affordable energy supply to meet the economy's fast-growing demand, while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions from energy activities. The country's energy development orientations expect hydrogen energy to be one of the main solutions to solve the above tasks. However, Vietnam currently lacks a scientific basis to support the establishment of a policy framework for effectively developing hydrogen energy sources. The article assesses the development needs of Vietnam's energy sector and analyzes the applicability of hydrogen in the energy system until 2050 using the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis method.
