Sowohl der systemische Lupus erythematodes (SLE) als auch die rheumatoide Arthritis (RA) begunstigen kardiovaskulare Komplikationen. Die Behandlung mit Hydroxychloroquin gilt dagegen bezuglich des Diabetes mellitus, des Lipidprofils sowie venoser Thromboembolien als protektiv. Schutzt der Wirkstoff, der beim SLE universell und bei der RA haufig zum Einsatz kommt, auch vor Herzkreislaufereignissen?
