摘要
Maternal danger signs during pregnancy alert pregnant women to possible complications with risks of morbidity and mortality. No woman is exempt from presenting these problems, although they are preventable if they are detected early and therapeutic actions are followed to prevent lethal manifestations. The nursing professional plays an essential role in the care of pregnant women by carrying out diagnostic and early detection actions, support and advice. The study includes the results of a bibliographic review on maternal danger signs in pregnant women and nursing care. The objective is to describe the danger signs in pregnant women and nursing care for their prevention and treatment. The sample consisted of 29 studies published in Google academic, Scielo Redalyc and BioMed Central. The most significant contributions correspond to the actions carried out and their results. In conclusion, hypertensive disorders such as preeclampsia and eclampsia, gestational diabetes mellitus and hemorrhages have the greatest impact on maternal mortality rates. Maternal danger signs usually occur in pregnant women and generate different complications leading to morbidity and mortality. Hypertensive disorders such as preeclampsia and eclampsia, gestational diabetes mellitus and hemorrhages have the greatest impact on maternal mortality rates. The low level of knowledge, awareness and attitudes of pregnant women increases the risks. Systematic prenatal control is a fundamental way to educate, detect possible risks and prevent complications.
