摘要
RESUMEN: El objetivo de este trabajo es ofrecer una revision sobre el procesamiento de las acuerdo con los resultados de Swinney (1979), cuando se procesa una palabra ambigua siempre se activan todos sus significados. Sin embargo, este autor no tuvo en cuenta la diferencia entre distintos tipos de ambiguedad. El experimento aqui presentado consistio en una tarea de lectura utilizando un eye-tracker. Nuestros resultados muestran que hay un comportamiento diferente segun el tipo de ambiguedad y que la propuesta de Swinney (1979) solo es aplicable a las unidades sincronicamente polisemicas pero no a las homonimas.
