摘要：
The appearance of the French ending -ons represents, according to the definition of Gaston Paris, one of the most curious phenomena in linguistic history. This article retraces the limits of the phenomenon, in space, time and the system. The different etiological hypotheses are then reviewed, highlighting their aporias. Finally, a new explanation is proposed, which appeals to the relationship between the first person singular and that of the plural, and places the innovation among those that radiate from Gallia Lugdunensis to the end of the Imperial period.
