摘要：
The text comments on the different design theories dealt with by the main representatives in the field of aesthetics during the twentieth century. We will contrast some of the theoretical texts by William Morris, Adolf Loos and Lewis Mumford with those by Adorno and other representatives of the Frankfort School. By doing so we will try to answer the classic questions: Art or design? Form or content? What is the value of design?
