摘要
The most precise knowledge of the nuclear size and charge distribution has come from the scattering of energetic electrons from the nuclei. In the current work, we calculated the ratio between the differential Mott cross section and the differential Rutherford cross section for the aluminum core in an incident electron energy range from 50 keV to 10000 keV and at angles ranging from 15 degrees to 180 degrees. In the same procedure, the shielding factor and the shielding distance were also evaluated. Three correction factors (nuclear size, recoiled nucleus, and spin terms) are employed and taken into account in the development of the Mott-Born, McKinley-Feshbach, and Rutherford equations. The calculations were accomplished by using Origin Pro 2018 Graphing and Monte Carlo simulation. The obtained results are in good agreement in comparison to the previous works. The analytical expression derived by McKinley-Feshbach, which takes into consideration relativistic electron characteristics, was proven to be the most effective equation.
