Klinische Studien mit Cannabidiol (CBD) bei psychotischen Storungen haben sein Potenzial als wirksames und gut vertragliches Antipsychotikum gezeigt. Die der Wirkung zu Grunde liegenden neurobiologischen Mechanismen sind derzeit jedoch unklar. Eine niederlandische Arbeitsgruppe untersuchte die Auswirkungen einer zusatzlichen CBD- oder Plazebo-Behandlung auf Gehirnfunktion und Stoffwechsel bei Patient*innen mit kurzlich aufgetretener Psychose.
