this article aims to demonstrate the relationship that exists between Liberation Theology, from what the philosopher and theologian Leonardo Boff (1991) proposes, with ecology and how these concepts work together, integrating non-violence (of which Gandhi developed his own definition), seeks to ensure that the rights of all living beings that inhabit this planet are respected and recognized. The reflection of the above is presented as a possible solution to the irreversible climate change in which we find ourselves and it is in the testimony where it finds a means to make visible the effects of violence. Finally, an interview is included with a representative of the international association for Animal Equality, who seeks to join the fight for the rights of farm animals, thus providing an example of active opposition against violence.
