摘要
A methodology - a special toolkit - is used for the study of any object of scientific knowledge. In today's realities, the issue of improving the methodology of criminal procedural law is particularly urgent, which is caused by changes in criminal procedural law aimed at bringing it into line with European and international standards. Digitization, increasing the amount of knowledge and scientific information requires a review of the already existing methodology and its updating following innovations. The purpose of this article is to clarify the theoretical foundations of the methodology of criminal procedural law research. The object of the study is the research methodology of the science of criminal procedural law. The research methodology includes such methods as methods of analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, analogy, historical method, and system method. As a conclusion of the conducted work, it can be summarized that the possibility of obtaining scientific results of the criminal process depends on the application of the appropriate research methodology. The main principles of the methodology of criminal procedural law have been studied. General scientific and special methods of research of criminal proceedings are considered. Particular attention is paid to the main trends in the development of the methodology and the problems of the methodology of the criminal process are highlighted. It is stated that the methodology can ensure the comprehensive development of criminal procedural science, as well as the formulation of new scientifically based theoretical provisions.
