THE IMPLICATIONS OF AN APPLIED LINGUISTICS AND IMPLICATED AS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY INVESTIGATIVE FIELD IN LANGUAGE STUDIES

In this study, a brief characterization of the area of Applied Linguistics is made, understanding it as an indisciplinary investigative field. In the course of the reflections presented here, its main guiding axes are highlighted. From these axes, the relevance of the interdisciplinary perspective is presented, as well as the indispensability of an AL that needs to be increasingly involved in science and in the lives of those who envisage a political project of society in which all are protagonists, active and/or actively responsive participants.
