摘要
The production of crystalline particles with desired characteristics for battery materials is important. It is known that the characteristics of crystalline particles obtained using the Taylor-Couette (TC) equipment differ from those obtained using conventional crystallizers. However, the guidelines of equipment and operation designs for obtaining crystalline particles with the desired characteristics using the TC equipment have not been fully investigated. This study is aimed at evaluating the influences of the manipulated and design variables on the characteristics of crystalline particles using TC equipment. The experimental results indicate that the crystal size and distribution width decreased as the shear stress was increased by changing the gap size and rotation speed or as the residence time was increased by changing the pipe length. Consequently, the influence of a new variable using the values of considering shear stress and residence time on the characteristics of the crystalline particles was found.
