摘要：

The present study aimes to examine for the hypothesis on the association of shorter relative telomere length (RTL) with chronic alcohol addiction accounting for the clinical and anamnestic characteristics. We identified statistically significant effect of age on variance in RTL in the total sample and separately in men with alcohol dependence. Among the examined clinical and anamnestic parameters, the age at onset of withdrawal syndrome negatively affected RTL.
