摘要
Electrochemical jet machining (ECJM) is a toolless electrochemical-based material removal process suitable for finishing the Laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) manufactured parts. However, the investigation of the tribological characteristics of the finished part is unknown. Therefore, in this article, an investigation was made to evaluate the tribological characteristics of the electrochemical jet machined surface of SS316L part produced by L-PBF. The experimental results revealed improvement in the roughness parameters after the ECJM. The wear tests revealed that the friction coefficients (COF) of the finished samples were significantly lower in comparison to the as-manufactured samples. During the investigation, the dominating mechanisms of the wear were found to be adhesive and delamination wear.
