摘要
Metallenes have recently received great interest as electrocatalysts owing to their unique properties coupled with efficient and facile surface modification. In particular, the development of metallene-based catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) of water electrolysis has been intensively conducted. Given the growing importance of green hydrogen as an alternative energy source in recent years, it is timely and essential to summarize the current status of metallene-based catalysts for HER. This review provides an understanding of metallenebased catalysts for HER by highlighting several strategies utilized for improved HER activities.
