摘要
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects approximately 3.4% of the adult population. It is a mental disorder which is characterized by the core symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsiveness. The impairments are manifested in various areas of life and as such play an important role in coping with the routine working day. Furthermore, mental illnesses are associated with various stigmas in society. People with ADHD also experience stigmatization, which for example becomes noticeable at the workplace. In order to make the routine working life more positive, there are recommendations for action for those affected and their superiors. This article provides an overview of the disorder, the challenges associated with it and possible solutions for coping at the workplace.
