摘要
A review on the basic physics of inertial confinement fusion (ICF) has been presented. Starting from the principle of controlled thermonuclear fusion, the main hurdles to achieve ICF have been explained in detail. Various laser and symmetry requirements for successful implosion also have been discussed in detail.
