摘要
By way of introduction, the article provides a conceptual approach to the creation of a text in plain language on the basis of a source text. On the basis of educational theory, criteria for the transfer of (academic) texts into plain language are elaborated. This is followed by a discussion of the possibility of converting scientific language that is oriented towards the conventions of academic writing into plain language. Unresolvable tensions need to be taken into account, as well as the problem of concealing exclusion and the potential of plain language for deconstruction. Finally, the considerations are reflected on with regard to their disciplinary significance.
