Das Peer-Reviewing ist ein Grundpfeiler der Qualitatssicherung wissenschaftlicher Publikationen, an denen sich Mediziner und Gesundheitspolitiker in ihrem taglichen Handeln orientieren. Die Studie offenbart eine mangelnde Diversitat, sowohl bei den Anfragen als auch den durchlaufenen Prozessen. Die COVID-19-Pandemie verstarkte geografische Ungleichheiten.
