摘要
In this paper crack problems subjected to thermoelastic loadings have been simulated using the optimized EFG technique by building generic MATLAB algorithm. The conventional element free Galerkin method (EFGM) has been boosted by incorporating Mixed Quadrature Criterion. Crack has been modelled as both adiabatic and isothermal in nature. Mode I Stress Intensity Factor have been evaluated for validation of results. The comparison of evaluation time has been done to predict the computational efficiency of optimized EFG technique in comparison with standard EFGM and it was seen that proposed method is nearly 70% effective in terms of computational time at relatively similar accuracy. The proposed criteria has also been tested for quasi crack growth problem under thermoelastic loading. Results obtained showed a good agreement with results from literature thereby establishing the versatility of enhanced EFGM for simulating cracked problems under thermoelastic loads.
