摘要
The development of cost-effective and human-friendly smart and advanced robots is very important for the future in various spheres of life. This is due to their remarkable capabilities to work in adverse situations where human beings cannot work. There are many challenges in robot fabrication and the development of suitable material is very demanding. Consequently, the exploration of smart and functional materials is the backbone for making cost-effective and human-friendly smart and advanced robots. Graphene and its compounds are being used widely in many sectors including robotic science. This is due to the unique features of graphene i.e. high strength, flexibility, transparency, opaqueness, electric and thermal conductivities, stretch-ability, and inertness. This article discusses the applications of graphene and its composites in robot manufacturing. The topics covered in this article are graphene properties, fabrication of sensors, actuators, skin, arms, legs, grippers, etc. Besides, efforts are made to discuss the fabrication of the final robots. Future perspectives and challenges have also been discussed. This article will be useful to explore more advanced graphene-based materials and fabrication of the cost-effective and human-friendly smart and advanced robots.
