LINGUISTIC-DISCURSIVE COMPETENCES IN HIGHER EDUCATION: LITERACY METHODS AND PRACTICES

The scientific production of texts by university students is not consistent with the level of knowledge they should have of the language in higher education. The writing exercises that the student performs in his university assignments show, generally, that he does not have a mastery of communication skills. For this reason, we consider it necessary to analyze the methodology of academic literacy -as a discipline that develops discursive competence- and its application. To carry out this study, we use, on the one hand, the method of reviewing concepts and bibliography on the subject and, on the other, we make a comparative analysis of works carried out within the framework of academic literacy. After this analysis, we consider that it is necessary to apply this approach in permanent programs because it improves the linguistic-discursive competence of academic composition practices.
