摘要
Copper foil as an interlayer is added in the explosive welding to connect the titanium and steel plates. The bonding properties of the composite plate were explored through mechanical property testing, micro -morphological observation and elemental analysis. The results showed that the mechanical properties of the titanium-steel composite plate are good, and the average tensile strength of the composite plate with copper foil interlayer is greater than that without interlayer. The copper layer in the composite plate replace the more difficult-to-melt titanium and iron metals and gather in the wavefront region under the interfacial pressure, which can increase the welding joint area and improve the welding strength. The thickness of the copper layer ranges from 3 mu m to 80 mu m, which isolates the contact between Fe and Ti elements and effectively reduces the formation of Ti-Fe brittle intermetallic compounds (IMCs).
