摘要
Mandible fracture management has evolved dramatically from an era of reliance on maxillomandibular fixation (MMF) and splinting to the present day where many fractures can be approached intraorally and internally fixated. Improvements in imaging have allowed for more precise diagnosis and clear surgical planning while improvements in instrumentation and plating systems have allowed for improved surgical access and more reliable outcomes. Therefore, the variety of surgical complications associated with mandibular fractures, and their incidences, has continued to change
