摘要
Business improvement in Cuba consists of a set of transformations that are implemented in companies to address the profound economic effects, with the objective of achieving a recovery in economic efficiency and competitiveness in the world market. Hence the importance of evaluating the effect of introducing the improvement process in the technical-organizational system of a dairy unit. The study was conducted at Dairy Farm 024, belonging to the Genetic Livestock Company 'Los Naranjos', located in the Caimito Municipality, Artemisa Province, Cuba, from March to May 2011. The objective was to determine the effects of introducing a technical-organizational improvement process system on productive, reproductive, and economic performance parameters. The performance of Dairy Farm 024 was evaluated before and after the introduction of the technical- organizational improvement process system, resulting in a positive impact on productive and reproductive results (P<0.05). In addition, it was possible to increase income by 16,693 national currency and the sustainability of the farm after the improvement process system. The study revealed the need to extend this technical-organizational improvement process to other dairy farms, given the positive results observed in the investigated farm. Furthermore, there is a need for more extensive and systematic economic evaluations to validate the effectiveness of the system.
