ACTIVE TRANSPARENCY IN THE INSTITUTIONS OF THE FEDERAL NETWORK OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE, AND TECHNOLOGY IN THE BRAZILIAN NORTH REGION

The right to access information has been increasingly discussed due to the demand for transparency and democratic participation. Therefore, this research analyzes compliance with access to information legislation through the active transparency mechanism of the portals of the Federal Network of Education, Science, and Technology Institutions of the Northern Region. This work is classified as descriptive and exploratory in terms of objectives. In terms of its nature, it is both quantitative and qualitative, and in terms of the technical procedures, it is a documentary research. Data was collected through the technique of systematic observation with the support of a guided navigation table developed by the author. The results indicate that, according to the average obtained from the ser of institutions analyzed, complete compliance occurs in only 51% of the observed cases, compliance is partial in 33% of the cases, and in 16% of the cases, the entities do not comply with the legislation.
