摘要
The objective of the present study was to analyze the factors that contribute to the demotivation of female students in Physical Education classes in the final years of Elementary School. This is a qualitative and descriptive research. A semi-structured questionnaire was applied to 53 female students from four schools in the urban area of the city of Iguatu-CE. For the analysis and interpretation of data, thematic content analysis was used. The results showed that classes held in reverse shifts, peer rejection, boys' aggressiveness, tiredness, lack of interest in the discipline, lack of diversification of content and teaching methods are the main factors related to demotivation. It is concluded that demotivation is characterized by factors that can be reversed with curricular, methodological and organizational actions related to educational policies.
