摘要
The five parameters including nuclear area(NA),nuclear perimeter(NP),nuclear diameter(ND),axisratio and nuclear roundness were evaluated withMIAS200 Image Analysis System(SichuanUniversity,Chengdu)in 45 patients with laryngealprimary squamous cell carcinoma, which were con-firmed pathologically and operated on from January1977 to October 1987.The results showed that NA,NP and ND are important prognostic indicators.Thesurvival rate in patients with large nuclei(NA≥73μm,NP≥32.5μm,ND≥12μm)was significantly lowerthan that in those with small nuclei(NA<73μm,NP<32.5μm,ND<12μm)(P<0.0025).These find-ings strongly suggest that patients with laryngealsquamous cell carcinoma with large nuclei should betreated more aggressively.
