In 1978, the giant panda "Juan-Juan" at Beijing Zoo gave birth to two cubs after artificial insemination. The male cub died of pneumonia 64hr after birth (Liu Wei-xin et al., 1979), and the carcase was kept at low temperature (0—4℃). Necropsy showed that only in the lungs
