Located in Yantai municipality, Shandong province, Jindoushan gold deposit, a newly discovered deposit, can be easily distinguished from other types of gold deposits in Jiaodong region for its unique characteristic of large amount of galena in ore minerals. Based on the study of the chemical composition, thermoelectricity, and minor elements content, we conclude that galena is another kind of important Au-bearing, Ag-bearing minerals besides pyrite; the conductive type of galena is N type with large absolute value of thermalelectrical coefficient; metallogenic elements forming galena were derived from the wall rocks, i.e. Jingshan group, which is an association of biotite schist and garnet-biotite schist etc..
