Yanchang Petroleum Started Construction of Olefins Project in Yan'an

Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Co., Ltd.(Yanchang Petroleum) started construction ofits olefins projects based on coal, natural gas and oil on July 26th.The new plant, located at Fucheng, Fu county, Yan’an, Shaanxi province, mainlyincludes 1.8 million t/a methanol facility, 600 000 t/a methanol processing unit,400 000 t/a light oil refining unit, 450 000 t/a polyethylene facility, 250 000 t/apolypropylene facility, 200 000 t/a 1-butanol and 1-octanol facility, 60 000 t/aethylene propylene rubber facility.The whole project is scheduled to come onstream in 2014, matching with Yan’an Refinery and Yangzhuanghe Refinery witha combined refining capacity of 10 million t/a.
