Photochromic enhancement of Au/MoO3 and Pt/MoO3 thin films

摘要
The freshly deposited MoO3 thin flim is only photosensitive to UV light. However, the electrolyti-cally pretreated MoO3 thin film give response to visible light. After deposition of Au (or Pt) onto the surface of MoO3dm the U V light and visible light photoehromic quahties of the film are enhanced magnificently. This is attributed tothe special structure of Schottky harrier, which prolongs the separation time of electron-hole pairs, at the interface ofmeid and MoO3 Because the difference of Fermi energies between MoO3 and Pt is bigger than that between MoO3and Na which could cause the separation time of electron-hole pairs much longer, and Pt gave larger enhancement
