Power demand forecast for 2011 by China Electricity Council

The China Electricity Council published the report on the analysis of power supply and demand situation across the country in 2011 recently.According to the report it is forecasted that in 2011, China’s economy will keep steady and fast growth, and power demand will continue to increase. The electricity consumption of the whole society across the country will reach about 4 700 TWh with a year-on-year growth of about 12%, which will slow down to some extent as compared with 2010. With the implementation of industrial development, energy-saving measures and tariff policies, the growth and structure of electricity consumption will be greatly improved.
