The differential radiosensitivity of germ cells at different stages of mammalian sper-matogenesis is one of the pertinent problems in the field of radiation genetics.Untilrecently,informations bearing on the subject have been gathered mainly from the mouse,and it was largely through the effort of Oakberg that the dose-effect curves and semi-lethal dosage(LD) for spermatogonia and resting young spermatocytes of the same ani-mal have been established.For higher mammals and human beings,no detailed accounts
