I.INTRODUCTION Hematite (α-FeO) has an antiferromagnetic structure and crystallizes into the rhombohedral structure with space group D~6. If the c-axis is chosen to describe this trigonal system, the anisotropy energy can be expressed approximately as fol-lows:
