We-Media (自媒体zìméi t):Called also as self-media, this term refers to the way of broadcast that an individual, as a member of the general public and following his/her own willingness, releases any information or argument to undefined audience through the internet. As a kind of bottom-up broadcast in contrast to the conventional one, We-Media is based on various communication platforms, such as Blog, Micro-Blog, WeChat, TikTok, BBS, etc., and featured by strong individualization and personalization, as well as fast propagation and popularization, thanks to the quick advancement of digital technologies.
