Frank Vectorcardiogram in Normal Adultswith Comparative Data Recorded by theCube System.Kung Lan-sheng,Dao Chin,Yang Ch’i-na.P’an Hua-shan,Li Chao-chi andLi Ting-kuo.Zhong Neike Z 12:105-110,1964.This paper presents the results of quanti-tative analysis of the vectorcardiograms of100 normal adults recorded with the Franklead system.The characteristics of the QRSloop closely resemble those of the normalpersons studied by McCall et al,except thatthe maximal length,the maximal width andthe magnitude of all the vectors of the QRSloop are smaller in the present series.Ac-cording to the size of the S loop in the rightsagittal plane,the normal vectorcardiogramsare classified into 3 types.Type 3 recordings,with a large S loop,are more frequentlyseen in the middle-aged and old subjects.The position of the placement of the chestelectrodes,the posture of the subject andage have no noticeable influence on thevectorcardiogram.However,the magnitudeof the various vectors of the QRS loop isgreater in men than in women.
