11th Five-Year Plan For Space Development Issued

On October 18,2007,the Commission of Science,Technology and Industry for National Defense(COSTIND)issued the 11th Five-Year Plan for Space Development approved by the State Council,the first complete development plan of China in space field.The plan puts forward the guidelines,development objectives and major tasks for China’s space industry during the 11th Five-Year Plan period,and defines 9 major missions including manned spaceflight program,lunar exploration program,high resolution Earth observation system,Beidou satellite navigation system,new generation launch vehicle program.
