摘要
Central Asia mainly refers to five countries to the west of Xinjiang, namely Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The region occupies an important geographical location at the junction of Europe and Asia. Since time immemorial, it has been a critical node region in economic and cultural exchange corridors, including the Silk Road. In addition, as the region is rich in such strategic resources as oil and natural gas, it has always been a focus of concern and competition among great powers.
