ROENTGENOLOGIC STUDY IN PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS

1.The diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis should be based on thecorrelation of the physical examination and the x-ray findings.2.Extra-pulmonary shadows,which may be taken for pathologicallesions,should be carefully excluded.3.As normal lung pictures are seldom seen,it is more importantto distinguish between active and inactive foci.The latter should bechecked up regularly.4.Pulmonary tuberculosis may begin in three forms:the hilusprocess,the parenchymatous infiltration and the miliary dissemination.5.The main lesion may spread by continuity and by bronchogenicpropagation.6.All chronic lung cases should be taken as tuberculous unlessproved to be otherwise.
