摘要
Celanese Corporation,a global technology and specialty materialscompany,announced on November 10th its intention to constructmanufacturing facilities in China and the U.S. to utilize recently-developedadvanced technology for the production of ethanol for chemicalapplications and other industrial uses. Celanese’s innovative processtechnology builds on the company’s industry-leading acetyl platformand integrates new technologies to produce ethanol using basichydrocarbon feedstocks.Following necessary approvals,Celanese intends to construct one,and possibly two,industrial ethanol complexes in China to serve thefast-growing Asia region. Initial annual production capacity of eachcomplex is expected to be approximately 400 000 tons. The com-
