In the present paper the thermoluminescence (TL) method is described in the determination of temperature gradient in the Jilin meteorite, produced by heating during its atmospheric passage. The experimentally determined gradient of ca. 31℃/mm for the fusion crust to 5 mm inward is greater than the previously published values
