摘要
The homologation of methane on supported transition metal (Pt,Pd, Co, Ni) catalysts was investigated by using the transient responsetechnique. An important approach ls to split the overall reaction into tworeaction steps occurring under moderate conditions, In which methane is firstthermally activated and higher hydrocarbon is subsequentiv synthesized uponhydrogenation. In such a two-step route the thermodynamic limitations canbe effectively overcome and the homologation of methane may be practicallyachieved .The optimum conversion of methane on 5% PtSiO2 catalyst in thehomologation of methane is 9.91% reached at 521 K. The conversion ofmethane on 5% Co/SiO2 catalyst is 61% obtained at 523K.
