Review time is the period from the manuscript submission date to the date when the review is completed.Authors always wish a short review time when a manuscript is submitted.Chinese Optics Letters(COL) has the average review time of 35 days in 2011,which is the fastest as compared with other mainstream optical journals according to the statistic of randomly-selected three issues of these journals.COL received over 1000 submissions and published roughly 300 papers in 2011.According to the latest journal citation reports(JCR)from Information Sciences Institute of USA,the impact factor of COL is 0.967 in 2011.
