Dear editor,During the past two decades,we have witnessed the explosive growth of the World Wide Web.To understand the common patterns of how this complex artificial software system evolves has been a more and more important and active research area for scientists[1].If we see the Web as a virtual tissue,according to the metabolic theory,the website must absorb"energy"to grow,reproduce,and develop.We are interested in the following questions:
