Saliva has recently attracted increasing interest for disease diagnosis since it presents a rich pool of biological markers such as proteins, DNA,RNA, hormones, microorganisms. Notably, saliva collection is convenient and safe, making it a perfect candidate for point-of-care testing(POCT)techniques.
