Microwave synthesis of Li2FeSiO4 cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries

A novel synthetic method of microwave processing to prepare LiFeSiOcathode materials is adopted.The LiFeSiOcathode material is prepared by mechanical ball-milling and subsequent microwave processing.Olivin-type LiFeSiOsample with uniform and fine particle sizes is successfully and fast synthesized by microwave heating at 700℃in 12 min.And the obtained LiFeSiOmaterials show better electrochemical performance and microstructure than those of LiFeSiOsample by the conventional solidstate reaction.
