NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF THE TURBULENT FLOW IN ROTATING DUCT

摘要
The SIMPLEC algorithm is adopted to simulate the turbulent flow in rotating duct, coupling with the RNG K-ε model in this paper. Comparison between computational results and experimental data shows good accuracy and convergence of the presentmethod. It is found from the computational results that increasing the rotational speed ordecreasing the inlet main stream velocity has a great influence on the main stream velocity. The cross pressure difference increases. The slow vefority field near the pressure surface is expanding and moving to the suction surface. And the location of the main streamvelocity peak tends to the suction surface.
