摘要：

This paper discusses the reform of Chinas rural land system in the past more than 20years. It reviews the course of Chinas rural land system reform since 1978 and the enormouscontribution that the household contract responsibility system made to Chinas agriculturaland rural development. Then it summarizes the current situation and existing problems inChinas rural land system. Finally, it offers some policy suggestions on how to perfect therural land system.
