摘要
The CLEs’ ultimate goal of learning English is tocommunicate smoothly with NSEs or other speakers of English.The reality, however, is that miscommnication between themappears constantly rather than incidentally. The purpose of thisstudy is to reach an understanding of the nature and sources ofverbal miscommunication-the problematic face-to-face talk-between Chinese learners of English (CLEs) and nativespeakers of English (NSEs). The following three objectives areto be achieved in this study:
